The Center for a Holistic Ecology is located at the Solar Springs Research Farm in Lewis County, TN on 94 acres of mixed oak-hickory hardwood forest. 

Solar Springs is in a fairly remote location—our nearest neighbors are two miles away. These neighbors, and friends, run Gray Bear Lodge, a holistic retreat center that offers yoga and wellness courses and attracts some of the nation’s most highly acclaimed instructors in these fields. We collaborate frequently and supply them with fresh produce and other products. 

We’re positioned in the middle of two intentional communities—The Farm Intentional Community is about 30 miles away from Solar Springs and Dunmore Hollow is about 20 miles.
